Topic: Kidney transplant wait-list activation for patients with kidney failure in Australia, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

Short description: Kidney transplantation remains the gold standard treatment for people with kidney failure. Unfortunately, there are not enough kidneys for all people to access this treatment, and variations exist in how patients are added to kidney transplant waiting lists. National registries contain rich data capturing the experience of patients with treated kidney failure. I will explore observed variations in kidney transplant wait-listing and compare the Australian experience with patients in the UK & USA.
Consumer involvement to date: Consumers have been involved in a small group workshop examining views and experiences of the kidney transplant wait-listing process.
