Training
We will develop of an educational pathway to prepare patients and researchers to work collaboratively in all phases of research, and to ensure we have an effective and efficient foundation on which to build towards the broader goals of the CRE.
Our goal is to shape the next generation of research leaders, together with a core group of patients/caregivers, driven to transform patient-centred care and research in chronic kidney disease. Our members are dedicated to fostering the development of a training program which focuses on creating a culture of respect, openness and willingness to learn from the perspective of others.
Research
Our goals are to develop innovative, patient-centred research projects, which address patient-prioritised evidence gaps and apply best-practice patient-partnership. We aim to support patient engagement throughout the BEAT-CKD network to ensure that new and existing research projects align with these core research goals. BEAT-CKD researchers will work collaboratively with patients and clinicians to generate patient-prioritised research ideas. We are dedicated to building reciprocal and respectful relationships as we strive towards a common goal – generating research with real health outcomes that are meaningful and beneficial for all.
Partnership
The role of the Partnership portfolio is to support stakeholder engagement and knowledge exchange. It will help the CRE develop national and international collaborations with leading organisations in the field of kidney health to ensure that efficient and effective pathways are in place to implement the patient-prioritised outputs of the CRE.
Our body of work will bridge the gap between patient-centred outcomes, research, policy and practice.
