Expression of Interest: Research officer position / PhD scholarship in patient-centred outcomes research in chronic disease

We are seeking expressions of interest for a research officer and/or PhD Candidate to contribute to patient-centred outcomes research projects in chronic disease, primarily chronic kidney disease and cardiovascular disease. The projects aim to: identify stakeholder values, priorities and preferences for healthcare and outcomes; develop, establish and implement patient-important outcomes and outcome measures; and evaluate patient-prioritised health interventions. This role will involve conducting systematic reviews, focus groups, interviews, surveys, and consensus workshops, and patient engagement.

Ideally, applicants will have a Honours or Masters degree in public health, medicine, psychology, social science, or health-related science, and have some knowledge/skills/experience in health research. An interest in chronic disease and patient-centred outcomes research is desirable.

The research officer would be appointed through The University of Sydney, and will be based at the Centre for Kidney Research located at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research (Westmead). Full-time and/or equivalent part-time positions are possible and these projects would be suitable for a PhD Candidature.
