The Better Evidence and Translation – Chronic Kidney Disease (BEAT-CKD) works to create high-quality evidence that is co-produced by patients, caregivers and health professionals. This is organised into three streams: training, research and partnership.
- Training: Ensures patients and researchers have the knowledge, resources and skills required to work together effectively and for high impact.
- Research: Addresses gaps in the evidence that are important and prioritised by patients in all stages of research from ideas, creation and sharing.
- Partnership: Shares and acts on the results of the research as well as builds relationships with other organisations.
We achieve consumer involvement in research and give a voice to consumers in BEAT-CKD by collaborating with key organisations including CARI Guidelines, SONG, Cochrane, ANZDATA and AKTN.
