The Australasian Kidney Trials Network (AKTN) a not-for-profit research group. AKTN designs, conducts, and supports researcher-initiated clinical trials that are meaningful to consumers. They focus on outcomes that are important to consumers.
AKTN consists of kidney doctors, nurses, health professionals, researchers, statisticians and data managers. It has successfully completed eleven trials, is running many active trials, and works to develop new studies. AKTN has people with lived experience of kidney disease on the Scientific Committee, and a dedicated Consumer Advisory Board.
