Translating research means to bring the research to life. For example, researchers may find ways to increase life participation for patients receiving haemodialysis. The next step is to take action on this research.

Translation focuses on improving the current state as we learn how to make things better. This occurs by considering language, beliefs, attitudes, background and skills in health systems and policy. It is an important step in improving outcomes for patients.
