SONG stands for Standardised Outcomes in Nephrology. It is an international initiative that puts in place a set of core outcomes and outcome measures across kidney disease. Core outcomes are important to patients, caregivers and health professionals. Trials should measure these outcomes. Core outcome measures are short surveys that measure these outcomes. The aim is to ensure trials measure outcomes that are meaningful and relevant.
