Examples of consumer involvement making an impact
SONG – Standardised Outcomes in Nephrology
SONG aims to create core outcomes in chronic kidney disease (CKD). This occurs from the shared priorities of patients, caregivers, and health professionals (including doctors, nurses, researchers, policy makers, and many more relevant stakeholders). Patients have been involved in workshops to create core outcomes in CKD. This ensures the patient and caregiver voice is heard to guide the design of interventions.
