Health professionals know a lot about interventions, treatment and research. However, it’s not often a researcher has lived experience with a health condition. Your lived experience will help fill the gaps in knowledge and research. Research and trials exist to benefit consumers. Consumer involvement in research includes consumer interest.

Share your thoughts and opinions based on what you know and your experience. Don’t worry about sharing on behalf of all consumers.

These training modules will help increase your understanding of the research process. Background information and support for each project will help your contribution.

“My experience [with kidney disease] has led me to want to help researchers understand the impact on everyday people.” Amanda (Patient and researcher)
